There will be times when you will have to return unearned trust monies to your clients. The process is simple to do and the transaction will be recorded in the Trust/Client Ledger.
Follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Account tab of the Client's Contact Card.
- Click the + button and select Transaction.
- On the Transition Form enter a negative amount for the full Trust balance.
- Select a Date, Account, Client, Case and Payment Method. You can add a Check Number or Reference Number as desired.
- Press SAVE. The client's trust balance should now be 0.
