How to set up LEDES billing

Note: Before you can set up LEDES billing, it needs to be enabled by an Administrator. To enable LEDES billing as an Administrator, please follow these steps.

How to enter your Timekeeper ID

  1. Click on your name in the lower left corner to access your Profile section
  2. Locate the block titled LEDES
  3. Enter in your LEDES Timekeeper ID and select your LEDES Timekeeper Classification from the dropdown list
  4. Select SAVE

 

How to enter Client Case ID

  1. Open the case in which you want to use LEDES billing
  2. In the Summary block, locate the field titled Billable Client
  3. Then select the appropriate client from the drop-down list or type in their name
  4. Once the client is selected, click on the symbol in the far right of the Billable client field to open up their contact sheet
  5. Locate the field LEDES Client ID and enter in their ID
  6. Click the Save symbol in the bottom right to save your changes

 

How to enter the LEDES Client Case ID and the LEDES Law Firm Case ID

  1. Open the case in which you want to use LEDES billing
  2. Select the SETTINGS tab
  3. Scroll down to locate the LEDES block
  4. Enter the LEDES Client Case ID and the LEDES Law Firm ID in the appropriate fields
  5. Click the Save symbol in the bottom right to save your changes

 

How to export an invoice in LEDES format

  1. Open the case in which you want to use LEDES billing
  2. Select the INVOICES tab
  3. Select the menu icon "⋮" in the far right of the invoice line you want to export
  4. Select the Download as LEDES TXT from the drop-down menu to download the invoice

Note: Make sure you are allowing popups for Case.one to ensure the invoice will download properly.
